Hello there,

I have a question regarding the XMP and my memory frequency, i set the XMP Profile 2.0 on my memory from Kingston DDR4 2400MHz on my new build in which the motherboard is a Asrock Z170 Pro4 and even though i did that on the OC Settings on the bios when i change the XMP the frequency is set to 2400 however when i save and restart the bios sets the memory back to 2133Mhz i also checked on CPU-Z and got the same result.

Does someone know if i need to set the frenquency manually and if i do is there any risk of damage on my components?

Specs:
Mobo: Asrock Z170 Pro4
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K
Ram: Kingston HYPERX - DDR4 8GB (x2) 2400MHz

I tried to increase the voltage like you said but even then the it did not set the frequency from the XMP profile, but this is a really interesting case because all other settings from XMP are applied only the frequency isn't, i did also test setting it manually to 2400 MHz and the pc seemed to run fine, at this point i have a feeling it might be an issue on Asrock side maybe they need more BIOS updates because when i buyed the Mobo the HDD Led didn't even work until update 3.0
