Heavy GPU and performance issues

Hi,
Recently my computer has started to be extremely slow, things take forever to load including games, i get 30 fps if i'm lucky in games, windows tasks take forever and just general loading of internet tabs, websites etc. takes longer than usual. This all happened in an instant, from 120fps capped in games down to 30fps if i'm lucky.
I'm starting to believe this issue could possibly be the GPU. I don't know whether a heavy GPU with no support (apart from the little bit of metal i can screw down on the back of the case) can cause damage to the GPU over time or even damage the PCI slot it is installed in. If one of them is damaged, could the sagging of the GPU make my computer lose performance in not just games but whole computer speeds?
I have a really heavy GPU (MSI GTX 770 4GB TwinFrozr OC Edition) and it does look like it is hanging down a little bit.
I decided to put my computer on its side so the weight is going straight down into the PCI slot, and it fixed the issue.
So my question is, can a heavy GPU with no proper support cause my whole computer to just be extremely slow all of a sudden and have very little fps in games?
Thanks for reading,

Ok so replace that thermal paste asap, apply a rice sized amount to the middle of the cpu and let the heatsink spread the paste. Then make sure the heatsink is firmly attached after. Make sure the fan is plugged into the CPU_Fan header so its controlled by the temp of the CPU.

If you system has slowed down from 120fps to 30fps, then It's more likely that something has affected the software rather than the hardware.

I have a bunch of other questions to try and find out what is going on:

Were you getting 120+ with Windows 10 installed? Or before you upgraded?
Did you update the Nvidia drivers recently?
Have you checked to see if your GPU or other parts are overheating?
Are you seeing slower performance in other games?
Have you checked your system for Malware? Ran Malwarebytes scan?
When is the last time you reformatted your system?

Okay, my computer has just startd lagging again. I'm actually getting very tired of this. Im just gonna fully upgrade my pc becauce i cannot find out what the issue is, never mind fix it.

Yes all my drivers are up to date and i did nothing to the computer for it to do this.

Yes, my computer has never done this before on Windows 7 and this problem has only been an issue on Windows 10.
I have not updated the since i removed nvidea experience. I will update it now but that didnt fix the issue last time i updated it.
I use speccy and the parts dont seem to be overheating however, the top of the GPU is very hot, like to hot to keep my hand on even though i have the fams running at full speed. Also, i noticed one of the fans was spinning slow than the other at lower speeds on the gpu, but cant notice at higher speeds.
My temps of PC: https://gyazo.com/45419573e002d3742278e8a5e15c58cd
No programs are open currently just google chrome and i have LoL closed for about 15 mins now since it started lagging... again.
Yes, it happens in other games. It affects the whole computer, not just the games.
I am running malwarebytes and anti exploit both premium, and bit defender total security 2016 premium. No malware is affecting my PC. Last time this happened, I wiped my SSD and reinstalled Windows and all programs and it didn't fix the problem.
I dont understand or know what reformatting is.

I think you might have resolved your own issue then. You said You did not have the problems with Windows 7....only with Windows 10. Obviously the Windows 10 update has not agreed with your system. You may be required to back up your personal files and carry out a full system reinstall.

You can either use your Windows 7 disc to reinstall windows (which will also reformat/wipe your hard drive clean)

Or download Windows 10 with the MS Media Creation Tool found HERE , and reinstall Windows 10 from a DVD or USB stick so that your system is nice an fresh and new rather than "upgraded" from Windows 7.

I would advise you to follow the instructions to reinstall Windows 10 with a USB stick. Just make sure you have backed up any of your important files/folders and user documents. i.e. c:\users\yourname\ <This will contain all your desktop items savegames etc.

Your CPU is clearly overheating (its at 71'c! in that screenshot), putting it on it side is prob just improving the cooling a bit as the weight of the cpu cooler is pressing down on the cpu.

The stock cooler for the FX83 is crap, get it replaced ASAP with something like the Hyper 212 evo. I would put money on the issue being the CPU thermal throttling.

I didn't even notice that! Yeah that might be your problem then. The 8350's will throttle once they reach 71C. But also test it with HWMONITOR to see if it shows similar temps.

You might have to invest in a cooler as RobCrezz has suggested.

I actually am using a arctic cooling freezer 13??? i forgot the name. But i checked the thermal paste on it and it was looking pretty thing a like half of the metal plate thing with the thermal paste on is like see-through and clear lol.

I don't have any thermal paste atm to re-apply it with but my stock cooler for the 8350 does, so i'm using that till i can get some more paste.

The fan keeps revving up and down in speeds though, which i'm not sure why? maybe one of you know if you wouldn't mind explaining how to fix it :p

I do appreciate your help on resolving this, thanks
