Hi! Right now I run Skyrim at 60 at low - low-medium graphics and I wanted to try and run the game better like around high or ultra graphics still having the same 60 fps, Here are some of my computer specs:

OS: windows 7 home premium 64 bit
processor: AMD A6-3650 APU with Radeon(tm)
HD graphics 2.6GHz
Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti

If you need to know more specs let me know :) I was thinking about getting a GTX 960 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121928
But I think that would be overkill, because I here people all over this website and other forums saying that all you need is a card in the 700 series. I also heard another post that my processor was more important to the game then my graphics card. I don't know if this is true or not, I need to know what it is that I need to upgrade to run this game a lot better, thanks!

I would take a look at your video card. The GTX 950 is a good cost effective card that should allow you to increase your settings. Nothing wrong with the GTX 960 either if you can afford it.

On a graphics card no more then $250 but I would still like to know what processor I would need in the future because it needs to be upgraded

How much are you willing to spend total? That apu is weak. It was weak even when it was new. In order to replace it, you need a new motherboard too. Do you have a retail copy of windows 7, or did it come with your PC? Because, if it came with your PC, you also need a new copy of windows if you upgrade your motherboard. You can see how this will add up to several hundred dollars.

So...need to know:
Total budget
What power supply you currently have.
What ram you currently have.
...
And while were at it, reassure me that this isn't a small form factor case.

Need to see how much of your PC can be reused.
