Approximate Purchase Date: 3rd week of February 2016

Budget Range: 900-1200 before rebates.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Surfing internet, Study, Spreadsheets

Are you buying a monitor: If budget permits, but I have one that I'm mostly happy with.

Parts to Upgrade: So I currently have a

MSI Nightblade MI2-001BUS Intel 6th Gen CPU Intel Socket LGA1151 Intel B150 Support up to a two-slot design of graphics card up to GTX 970 1 x HDMI Barebone

WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD1003FZEX

Ripjaws DDR4 SO-DIMM 8GB (4GB x 2)
Can't find the link to the exact ram.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I would like to only buy from my Brooklyn, NY Microcenter store, Newegg.com(primarily preferred), and Amazon.com( I have prime if that matters).

Parts Preferences: For processor I would like specifically i7 and for gpu I would like specifically a gtx 780 or higher but must be gtx-###

Overclocking: Its a nice bonus I guess.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Not entirely sure what resolution my monitor has but I'm pretty happy with what I have. But of course if there's a sick deal going on and it fits in budget then id consider it.

Additional Comments: I would like 3 case fans max with a fan controller if any of that is even possible with my case size.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading?: I'm getting rid of my 9 year old 1.8ghz dual core compaq 4gb ram 300hdd desktop. Imagine my pain trying to play league of legends. With this new build the games that I will be playing will be WoW, LoL, SC2, and maybe some less graphic intensive games. I would also like a 4k gpu.

I hope this provides enough information for someone to show me a build that I can purchase.
To be 100% clear.. I'm wanting to spend 900-1200 on a ssd, cpu, fans, heatsink, gpu, windows 10 , psu, and optical drive(preferably blu ray/dvd/cd)

Your first problem is that your particular version of the Nightblade comes with a 350W Bronze PSU. This won't do it for the 780, it has a 250W TDP by itself. I have tried before to chase down what this power supply is but to no avail. MSI's website states it is a "350W - Proprietary Design" whatever that means. Before we go any further, can you pull the model info off the PSU, maybe take some pictures (especially of mounting and fan intake/exhaust) and measure the height, width and depth of the PSU.

I know that MSI does supply a version of the Nightblade with a 600W Gold PSU which I traced to be a Silverstone ST60F-ESG

It has an ATX form factor. In the previous post the requestor stated the 350W was an ATX but I would prefer to confirm this.
