Assuming you only play games which run on directx 12 (this is a very small number at best) and implement asynchronous rendering or whatever that particular feature is (an even smaller number, quite possibly still zero at the moment), yes. Realistically, you'll be using one GPU or the other in the vast majority of cases for the next several years until directx 12 features start becoming more common.
There are still games which rely on Dx9, so this will take some time.
