Hi everyone, I have gathered below parts and wondering if anyone could help me with picking the right power supply unit. I will be overclocking the system! How much power do you think would be sufficient? I was thinking 750w can do the job! Thanks in advance for your help.

Here is my build so far

Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz 8MB LGA1151
Corsair H100i GTX Liquid CPU Cooler
Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 7 Intel Z170 S1151/4xDDR4/3xPCIEx16/HDMI/DP/USB3.1/ATX Motherboard
Samsung 850 PRO SSD
Seagate 3.5" SSHD 2TB ST2000DX001 NAND 8GB SATA3 7200rpm 64MB Hybrid HDD
Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 (Black) 16GB Kit (8Gx2) DDR4 3200 Desktop RAM
Asus GTX 980 ti Strix

A tier 1 or 2 650w unit would be plenty for a 980ti and overclocking. At stock settings i'd estimate you'll be around 400w for a gaming load. My system only pulls around 450w gaming load(gta V) and I have a more power hungry cpu that's overclocked. Even maxing the cpu and gpu(furmark) mine will use 530w, I'd imagine your system would be south of 500w.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I just realized that I did not initially mention that I have an Asus GTX 980 ti. How did I not list it! The config is now updated. Please share your ideas! thanks again.

Hi - A good quality 650w unit has enough +12v amps for that rig, but 750 is a sound choice, headroom,
run cooler, etc.

However, keep in mind not all 750's are created equal. If you post your budget we can advise. If you have already pre selected, list it here for feedback (before you order).
