Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs.

When the FX x3xx series first launched current AMD motherboards requires a bios update to support the new processor.
However, it has been years since then, so the boards ship with the proper BIOS.
I would not worry. It is an old message that still displays.

what would you recommend? more power or different brand?

Maybe if it were an intel build or perhaps the cx 850.

Im a fan of the cx series with the exception of the 750 which appears to be the worst of the worst from what I can gather
