Some days ago, i bought a used pc. This was really cheap, and it has got some old but gold components. I payed 115 dollars for it, cheap, yes but i thought that the only game i would play was going to be cs:go.
The specs for the pc are:
CPU: Quad 9550, no overclock with a zalman cooler
RAM: 8gb ddr2, 800mhz. 4 sticks
Mobo: p5qd turbo
PSU: 650W semi-modular corsair HX650
Gpu: It came with a gtx 285 when i bought it, but a friend of mine hooked me up with a gtx 560 ti.
HDD: 250gig, either 5200 or 7200
So i like to buy and resell computers, and recently i discovered this pc:
CPU: Quad-Core A10-5700 APU-prosessor
GPU: Radeon R7 240 2 GB grafikkort
RAM: 8 GB ddr3, 1 stick
2 TB harddisk
Dont know PSU or motherboard
My question then is: Is it worth buying pc#2? I know the gpu is absolutely worthless, but if its working together with the apu, it cant be that bad?? The price for both computers here in Norway are the same, so i could switch. I just think the ddr2 and the q9550 is getting old and bad.
The benefits that i see are the better ram, maybe the cpu if you dont OC the q9550. Hdd is much bigger. If the r7 240 card is that bad, i could sell the pc with the gtx 285, and i think i still would get about 170 dollars for it. So then i could use pc#2 with 560ti. The question is if pc#2 has enough watts to handle it. Pc#2 isnt self-built, its bought (HP PAVILION 500-520NO)
All answers are much appreciated, i had to ask this question myself, since i couldnt find any comparisons..
