I want to replace my motherboard and processor in my eMachine EL1352-01e desktop. It's a micro-ATX form factor. I don't do any gaming. Just basic home and office stuff.

Sorry to tell you this, but when you replace the motherboard and cpu, you will most likely need to reinstall the os, actually you will need to buy a new copied as the current only work for the emachine hardware, and reinstall all the apps too.

I like the small tower I have. It fits nicely on my desk, seeing that I don't have much space. I don't want to go through the trouble of going through the whole set up of a new system.

I was hoping to just using my 250 SSD that I have in place of the 500 GB hard drive that game with the machine with no problem. If not I'll just stay with what I have. Thank you for your help.
