Hello, lately i've been playing CS:GO, and i've heard lots of things the community are saying like this "macro" thing and 64/128 tickrate servers, i've heard people talking about it alot, although i am not sure what does it means. However, i heard that "macros" are illegal in CS:GO competitive mode???

P.S: I'm new to PC gaming, i became a PC gamer months ago with my old 8400GS card and old Pentium 4 CPU.

Please explain, i don't have much knowledge in PC gaming. Thanks in advance.

Macros are sets of instructions that allows the computer to automatically press keys on your keyboard. This can be used to cheat in some games by creating circumstances where you can exploit the game's physics engine, eg. bunnyhopping to move faster or where having a macro rapidly press a bunch of keys can create some other bug or exploit.

Tickrate refers to how often the server transmits data to other players. It is strongly recommended that your game's framerate be equal to or greater than the server's tickrate, otherwise the game will be running on the server faster than on your machine, and you might be at a disadvantage as other players that can run the game at the same speed as the server's tickrate will be able to react to...

The higher the tickrate, the more responsive the game is, with the drawback being you needing more powerful hardware to maintain the higher framerate.

So if i have 60 fps on a 128 tick server, i will have disadvantage? Ah okay, i understand, thank you for the explanation. However, where are this Macro keys located?
