Third HDD not being recognized in BIOS - 1 SSD + 3 HDD

For this build, I cannot seem to get the third HDD to be recognized.

So far, default haven't even set up raid yet.
SSD main OS (500 GB)
2 HDD recognized (2 x 2 TB)
3rd not recognized
all 3 HDDs are the same and plugged in afaik

each of the HDDs are 2TB Western Digitals if that matters

disk manager in the OS? no... it does not even show up in bios

could it be that there's a maximum storage recognized? it's 2tb for each HDD

no CD drive just 4 sata disk drives (1 ssd + 3 hdd)

bios only recognizes 1 ssd + 2 hdd
windows 10 only recognizes 1 ssd + 1 hdd

It turned out that for this mobo, some of the slots are run by different sata controllers. For some reason only the ones recognized by the Intel controller and not the other one were recognized.
