I have a new laptop on its way and I'm trying to figure out what would be the best way to handle having Linux and Windows. The laptop will come with one 256GB Samsung 950 Pro M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD and Samsung 850 PRO 256GB (this is coming out of my current laptop). I mostly run Ubuntu on my laptop but occasionally I need to use windows.. mostly for excel. Wine is an absolute pain for me, so I would much rather not deal with it. So here are the options I am considering.

1. Partition the 950 to run ubuntu and leave the rest for storage, partition the 850 to have windows and leave the rest for storage for ubuntu.

2. dedicate 950 to ubuntu entirely and partition the 850 for windows and ubuntu storage

3. partition the 950 for ubuntu and windows. partition the 850 for ubuntu and windows

4. Screw windows completely and just use my wife's laptop for excel.
