as the title sais, I need some help in choosing a good z170 overclocking board to go with 6600k. I need to go no more then $160 and i would love to stay under $120(so i can buy a gtx 950 instead of a 750 ti).

my 1st 3 choices im looking at right now are:

#1. MSI Z170-A PRO, its on sale for $80 and am wondering if its even worth buying if i plan on overclocking at all. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130892)

#2. GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128844) right now they have a free sandisk 128gb ssd for buying this that i otherwise would not have the money to buy right away.

#3. ASUS Z170M-PLUS, is this going to be a good board in the first place? (

these last ones are possible buys as there on sale for a crazy price right now but im not going past the 160 mark.

#1. GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-Gaming 6 (rev. 1.0), this one is a awsome looking board and is the top choice for this price point. would like advice if its good or if i should stick to something cheeper for this build.

#2. ASUS Z170-A, this one i was going gto get right off the bat but now seeing other options around this price im wondering if i should even buy it.

#3. GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5 (rev. 1.0) this also was one but i wouldnt go for it if one of the above works just as good.

sorry for this long post i just want some help thanks.

Check the features on the MB, if you don't need them then no point in paying for them either. Maybe that ASUS Z170M-PLUS could be a decent choice if you don't need the extra space of normal sized atx board. Gaming will be a drag on the integrated graphics so maybe go cheap on the cpu to get a gpu now. Then upgrade the cpu later. On the...

On the other hand it easier to add the graphics card later than switch in a new cpu. But if it is months I'd prolly go with the weaker cpu and get a graphics card with the system.

ive gone with the 6600k with a z170mx gaming 5 and a msi r9 270x and i have to say its a beast. i can run battlefeild 4 at ultra settings without the gpu breaking a sweat. if your looking for a very good graphics card for around 150 go with a r9 270 or 270x, same price as gtx 750 ti and way better in performance. anyways thanks guys and hope this helps the next person wondering the same thing.
