so what HDMI does gtx 980 ti have ? because i heard that i can actually connect HDMI 1.3 or higher version to a 144hz monitor and use it with 144hz refresh rate , is it true ?

also will i notice a change compared to using a DVI cable ? because i currently using a DVI cable to connect it to my monitor ( i have a gtx 770 )

Solution
First it should come with hdmi 2.0, but even then, hdmi does not support 144hz. For that you have to use a DVI cable, but the best option would be a Display Port cable. But your DVI cable should be enough, you can give it a try.

Oh and that is only if your DVI cable is a DVI-D and not DVI-I.

then why in this website : http://www.144hzmonitors.com/knowledge-base/144hz-1080p-which-cable-do-i-need/
it says that a 1.3 or higher can be used with 144hz !! :(

also does the gtx 980 ti have a DVI-D ? ( how to know is it DVI D or DVI I)

and last question is what would be the difference between using a DVI-D vs using a Display Port ? is display port better ? ( in quality )

yeah i did some research too and hdmi does not support beyond 60hz

There are plenty of GTX 980ti versions out, you need precise model name. But generaly it should have al least one DVI-D or DVI-I connector.
Displayport 1.3 supports 4x resolutions at 60Hz, DVI - does not.
