what is the version of HDMI CABLE in GIGABYTE GTX 980 Ti ? IF It's higher than 1.3 , i can use it with my 144hz monitor ?

so what HDMI does gtx 980 ti have ? because i heard that i can actually connect HDMI 1.3 or higher version to a 144hz monitor and use it with 144hz refresh rate , is it true ?

also will i notice a change compared to using a DVI cable ? because i currently using a DVI cable to connect it to my monitor ( i have a gtx 770 )

First it should come with hdmi 2.0, but even then, hdmi does not support 144hz. For that you have to use a DVI cable, but the best option would be a Display Port cable. But your DVI cable should be enough, you can give it a try.

Oh and that is only if your DVI cable is a DVI-D and not DVI-I.

there you go(check the dual link DVI-D, thats what you need). And this is strange since I'm pretty sure hdmi is limited to 120hz, you can still try however. Display port doesn't give you more when it comes to 1080p 144hz, quality won't be better, just that's the future of gaming monitors.

There are plenty of GTX 980ti versions out, you need precise model name. But generaly it should have al least one DVI-D or DVI-I connector.
Displayport 1.3 supports 4x resolutions at 60Hz, DVI - does not.
