Just came from school and i see a driver installing in background(amd engineering sample), after it's done it asks me to restart the computer. After restarts, i googled this thing and i found something about what engineering sample but i'm still eager to find out more about it. It has the same frequency and in cpu-z it's shown as Opteron 1300 .

NOTE : I restarted the pc and now it shows me the same CPU name it used to : Athlon ii x4 620.

Solution
Sometimes engineering samples creep into the retail market and even, on occasion, OEM machines. It could be an engineering sample, but that doesn't mean much, especially in a laptop. For desktops, it usually means it will have an unlocked multiplier even if the consumer version of the chip does not, but otherwise is about the same as the consumer version (maybe higher power consumption on average). Seeing as AMD's AM3 CPUs can all overclock, the multiplier isn't a problem anyway.

CPU-Z will usually tell you if it is an engineering sample or not.

EDIT: I have read about an occasional glitch where an AM3 CPU is tricked into thinking it is an engineering sample with unlocked multiplier and Vcore. I'm not sure what causes this to happen...
