Lag on certain game?

Hi just wondering if anyone could help me with my issue. When I join a minecraft server no matter what server there is lag (not fps 400+) I don't know why I'm lagging I've looked at every forum for a fix and still no hope :( By lag I mean the blocks will reappear and have to be broken multiple time before they drop, when I run it will drag me back a few times etc... :(

I just built my first PC and wondering if there something I missed off? I updated my network drivers and pinged "8.8.8.8 -n 100" 0 packet loss there, But on http://www.pingtest.net the packet loss test fails.

Hi Danny,

I've often had the same problem whilst playing minecraft however it's often because the server your connecting to either has issues or is a long way away and therefore you might have an extremely high ping. Is it just one server or all servers? If it's many try speediest.net to find you Internet speeds and see if it's a problem on your side.

It might also be an issue with your graphics card so you should check what happens when you run a singleplayer server locally.
