I have been using a crossfire set up with 2 SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7970 GHz edition GPUs, and they have been great at getting me above 60fps on just about every game I play, but one of the cards has a fan that is dying and I do not feel comfortable enough to take apart my GPU to fix it personally, and the local electronics store would charge roughly $120 for the replacement of the fan and I don't feel like paying that much when I got the card for $200. Keep in mind I am NOT looking for a best price for performance, fan noise, card temps, etc. The only factor I am here for the cards ability to run current gen games at the maximum settings with the highest FPS.

So my question is this, if any, is there a card that could run say Battlefield 4, Battlefront, and other current generation games at maximum settings at or near 144FPS constant in a solo card array? It seems not enough games officially support crossfire right now so I have to do some tuning to get them working on all the different games I play, and some games don't run with it at all.

If not what card could I replace my other card with to give the best performance boost? Or what NVIDIA cards could replace both my cards for the most effective setup?

Please try to keep the "Use this card because it is cheaper and runs almost as good." I appreciate trying to spot me from using more money than necessary, but I am simply looking to get the most use, not so much about what is quieter or energy efficient, as I always run my GPU fans at 100% normally, with some OC on them.

I don't think any current single GPU can run next gen games at those framerates at max settings. Maybe a heavily overclocked 980 Ti could manage it (at 1080p of course), but other than that you'd need a Crossfire/SLI setup. Now if you REALLY don't care about cost, well, 2-way SLI 980 Tis would do the trick. Kinda overkill but it'd also help your minimum framerate and give you the option of higher resolutions in the future.

If you don't want to overkill it this hard you could always go SLI 980s instead. I wouldn't recommend the AMD R9 390X as, while it's a good value for money card, putting two of these in Crossfire would turn your PC into a heater (and you'd need a PSU in the neighborhood of 850W MINIMUM for two of those).

id go for 1 980 ti, or if you can wait till the cards fans do actually die... you could potentially hold off for the new generation coming out in the new few months which would HOPEFULLY be able to accomplish exactly what you need

Just curious, did you ever tried clean those troubled fan with an air blower? Most of the time, the only reason fan is failing is simply dust buildup too much and got clogged in the fan motor.
As for your question, like everyone said, there are none. No single GPU today can gives 144hz constant @1080p. Even the mighty 980Ti would dips here and there on occasion and depend on the game it run.
