So i got a amd 5770 today (not yet tried it) . My psu is some shady one from Matrix 700w. I dont really trust it but i dont have any choice . I use coolermasters power calculator and with the new gpu it came in at about 380w. But my psu dosent have a 6pin needed for the new gpu. So i got an adapter from 2 molex to 6pin but i found out that there are 2 models of it and i dont really know the diffrence. I have the one with a red wire , but there is also a one with only yellow and black wires.
i have this one

but then there is also this one

It didnt cost a lot and if i need too i will get the other kind but will the one i have work or will it damage my gpu ? (I know the psu is shit and will probably kill it , but if it holds at half of the max wattage it should work)

Solution
yours seems to have four negative leads (Black and Red) and two positive (Yellow).

For a PCIe video connector you need three negative (Black) and three positive (Yellow)

wattage is ALWAYS exaggerated on shit units, it could very well be actually a 300w with a 700w sticker on it

i would not risk it , never use adapters with shit units like that

So the red one is ground aka a black wire there are 2 connected to the top middle pin on the 6pin . Do i need one more yellow aka 12 volt wire ? Cuz the middle bottom pin on the 6pin is knocked out ?
