Building Gaming PC. Open minded budget!

Hi , I'm building or buying a pre-built gaming pc in 2 weeks and I'd like to be directed towards a custom build or pre-built pc. I have a few needs for what I'd like my pc to have. And they are as follows : I7 6700k , 1tb hdd western digital , 128gb or higher ssd , gtx 970 or 980, and atleast 8gb ram.
Other than these things , I'm very open minded to anything. I'd like to spend as little as possible but my max is 1800. I don't want hardware that's known for their lack of durability also , but at the same time if i could shy away from top quality i will only if it means it would go over 1800. This pc will be used for WoW , LoL, SC2 , streaming myself playing these games , and ideally would like to take advantage of any way of seeing 4k quality on anything. In conclusion , i would only like to buy from Newegg.com , Amazon.com, or a local micro center store (i live in Brooklyn NY).
If there are any other questions , i promise i will be quick to reply.

P.S: i need Windows 10, and no i do not need a monitor unless budget permits but buying one is not really on my mind tbh.

Except the OP's vendor specifications of Amazon, NewEgg & Micro Center....

OP - You could go with either an R9 390x (8GB) or even a GTX 980ti (6GB) with an $1,800 budget.
The 390X would be the cheapest. You could go with a regular 980 too.

Looks like a pretty cool build . Though i would like to mention that i will only be buying from the Amazon , Newegg, and Microcenter. Also , i will have my own keyboard and mouse. And i will most definitely not need a wireless or Bluetooth adapter . With that being said , I'll check these parts you picked out after i get out work from the 3websites i mentioned.

I like barty's 2nd build , but I'd like to actually go over it in detail when i get home in about an hour. With that being said , thank you very much for posting that build, hopefully more builds will be posted and i will most definitely pick a solved answer and close this post by tonight .

So far , from Bartys build , it looks good except I'll bring down the ssd to a 250gb of the same samsung series , and I'll get 2x4gb ram instead of 2x8gb of ram. And i might look up a 700w psu

Definitely agree there are concessions that can be made in the build I listed.

The SSD is overkill, but remember it wasn't too long ago people were recommending 120GB SSDs and now 240+GB SSDs are becoming the recommended standard. Pricewise, considering an $1,800 budget, $60 (approx difference between a ~250GB Samsung and a 500GB Samsung) is relatively negligible.

The 16GB ram I included related more to the streaming of gameplay. I may be misinformed there, but I thought that was relatively ram intensive? Agree 8GB is enough for most gaming setups, but I think the 16GB might be a welcome addition to this rig.

A 650W, quality PSU would more than power that setup, but a little extra wattage wouldn't hurt. To get a wattage increase at roughly the same price, while keeping a quality PSU would likely lose the fully-modular element. No biggie. As an example, this XFX TS 750W non-modular, Tier 1 PSU (maybe Tier 2) can be had for $52 after rebate.

I know you were; I forgot to choose specific vendors but those parts all come from either Amazon or NewEgg.
