Hey guys. First time PC builder here, and I am looking for some advice on some upgrades to my rig to help bring it a little further forward in the hardware department. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and possibly my CPU. My current installs are:

GPU: Asus HD 7770 2GB GDDR5
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1065T
Motherboard: AsusTek CM1730/1830

Cooler Master 922m case
8gb RAM
Windows 10 Pro 64bit

I can't remember off the top of my head what power supply I have installed, so forgive me for that.

What are some budget options I could pursue to help spruce my system up? Any help would be appreciated!

It should be noted I am wanting to be able to play current games, i.e. Black Ops III, Battlefront, Fallout 4, etc.. I've just made the jump from console.

So just a complete overhaul in general? All new components?

I would start by getting a good quality power supply of at least 650 to 850 watts off the tier one list for future upgrades and go from there. Next your currant CPU is fine and will you by for a while but I would look into getting a good $100 to $150 AMD 990 FX AM3+ Motherboard. Now go with the GTX 960 GPU. A good CPU cooler wouldn't hurt. Last if your Ram is at least DDR3 1600 you should be fine if not pick up some good quality ram now that the prices have dropped on DDR3.

Hi, just get R9 380 or gtx 960 - R9 380 is better, but if you want nVidia one, you won't do a mistake. Your cpu can handle this GPUs, but if you want a new one, I would stick with I5 4690k and Asus / MSI Z97 Gaming

- If you want a whole new system, tell me the budget, I can build something for you
