Tried searching but could not find anything solving my problem. Got a Logitech headset, just plugs straight into the headphone slot. I was able to record my voice but I cannot use it on any other apps and it does not show up in my "recording devices". Can anyone provide any help/suggestions? Feel free to ask anything and I will answer to the best of my ability.

Apart from hardware being faulty, there's only one thing I can think of that might work.

Try this

Start -> Right Click Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager -> Expand "sound, video" etc. Uninstall all.

Then unplug headset, and plug it back in. See if your pc automatically reinstalls drivers.
Otherwise, from Device Manager, Right click on "sound, video... " and click "Scan for hardware changes"
