Building two systems in one computer case :)

Ok guys! I made another post about this, but im gonna delete the other post and just recreate it with more detail :).

OK! So what im planning on doing is creating two systems housed in the Phanteks Enthoo Mini XL.

Im going to house a SLI setup on the micro atx part of the case so that I can enjoy the wonders of SLI and multi monitor gaming(im also going to be twitch streaming).

And the top mini-itx system is going to be for handling my streams, but also for when people come over to my house and we can play on one system :3. I also want the top mini itx system to be Radeon so that I can have both wonders in one case :p.

So to just summarize

Bottom Micro ITX system i want to be SLI(or maybe just 970 for now that is a option as well)
Intel preferred plx.

Top system can be AMD or Intel, but it has to be able to handle my streaming and have a radeon card.

Budget for this system is around 1500!! Work your magic guys :D!!

Opted for a 860K build for the ITX area of the build, should be enough to run streaming and gaming but not at the same time due to the limited processing power.

The gaming system does include an SLI capable Micro-ATX motherboard as well as an 850 watt PSU to power a second GTX 970 in the future. While it does include a 240GB SSD, it lacks a data storage drive. This system runs Windows 10 Home.

The streaming system is based on an AMD APU. It lacks an SSD, but does have a 1TB hard drive. I'd recommend partitioning the drive into a smaller OS partition and the rest as a data drive. This way, when you do decide to opt for an SSD on this system, you can easily clone it over. This system does sport it's own 350 watt PSU and also runs Windows 10 Home.

Grand Total for both systems: $1616.94

Doesn't the case only have support for one PSU?

No. When you install the optional back plate for the Mini-ITX board, it also adds a second PSU install point for a small form factor PSU. Check pgs. 33-35 of the Users Manual.

Also, it appears that the Enthoo Mini XL ITX Upgrade kit is an option upgrade to be purchased, so that would need to be added to the cost of the build:

Phanteks PH-ITXKT_01 ITX Upgrade Kit – specified for Enthoo Mini XL Case - $31.99

Build above will be updated.

How about this? I did put an APU in the mini build but I have paired with very fast RAM. That APU plays BF4 at high settings 40-50FPS.

I had to modify some of it but is still pretty good in my opinion.

Ok wolf, i decided to go with your build. Any chance however you can incorporate a dedicated GPU to the ITX build?
