Just bought a evga 750 TI FTW card. my question is does my PSU have the power requirements for this card??
Intel i5-4570 3.2ghz
2x4gb DDR3 1600
1 optical drive
1 7200rpm hard drive 3.5"
300 watt PSU MODEL:((FSP300-40AABA))

I had to purchase a special 2xsata power to pcie 6 pin power adapter due to lack of psu cables. can i pull Amps from both rails if i needed? this is a 80+ psu unit

I see that one 12v rail has 14A and the other has 18A and the box recommends 300 watt minimum PSU and 20A.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Technically no. The TDP on the 750ti FTW is 85 watts: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-3757-KR
I have a 3570k with over clocks and a SSC GTX 970 hooked up to a Corsair HX750i, so I can see the power draw. At load I stay below 300 watts, so you're more than ok.

However, I would suggest at some point you swap out that power supply with a ~450 watt unit from either Seasonic or some other top tier PSU manufacturer (never skimp on the PSU). For now though, you're more than ok :)

it would require new system board and PSU unit due to acer proprietary craaaap haha. that will be my next choice though. just dont feel like spending 200-300$ on computer parts. (the wife will hate me for a day or 2.)

i am confused about the amps on the 12v rails. 12v1/16A ----12v2/14A will that cover the 20A needed for the card? i was going to take out the optical drive also for some extra watts not sure if that would help much......

if i get reboots or crashes i will uninstall the card until i upgrade system board and psu. its not going to fry my whole system the 1st time right?

Nope bare system and taking out the optical drive.

Intel i5-4570 3.2ghz
2x4gb DDR3 1600
4 usb devices
1 7200rpm hard drive 3.5"

power supply calculator with card installed says PSU load 224 W
