Should I upgrade to GTX 970 SLI from a single 970, or upgrade to an i7 4790k from an i5 4690k?

Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my PC but atm I can only afford either another 970 or an upgrade to a 4790k. I have ASUS Z97-A mobo, a 750w PSU, and 16GB of RAM.

Well, for gaming changing the CPU you will not be a lot of difference , so, i would pick another 970. Will your PSU be able to handle both cards?

Like Lucas said the second 970 would make a much bigger difference for gaming. You likely wouldn't notice much, if any, improvement by upgrading to a 4790k in game. Adding another 970 would put you above a 980Ti in games though. That is the clear choice.
