I am just wondering if i would be able to overclock this CPU on this motherboard and what would be a stable clock ? I know theres a thing where you cant overclock on non-z motherboards but theres still a way to without updating to the latest BIOS, would it be okay to overclock on it?

Solution
You can overclock on non-z series boards. Many companies turned on the feature because of the G3258. I can't state anything on behalf of the motherboard that you are planning to use, but I have a G3258 myself on a MSI B85 G43 Gaming board and I'm happily overclocked to 4.3GHz at 1.26v at only 60c under load with a Cooler Master Hyper 212X

Many of the LGA 1150 non-Z boards (H97, H87, B85, H81) can overclock with the right BIOS. You'd need to just lookup the features updated with the latest BIOS versions. ASRock is pretty good about such features, so you can probably overclock. Something around 4GHz might be typical considering it's a dual core chip on a low end board.

Depends on the "luck of the draw" in terms of getting a good overclocking chip and the ambient temperature in your place. A lot of people actually reached 4.5 GHz so you can probably reach 4.4 GHz. Do note that you need to either increase or decrease you CPU ring ratio and CPU ring voltage to stabilize you overclock when you are approaching the 4.4 - 4.5 GHz mark. Also add a little voltage to VCCIN (about 0.010 or more) and DRAM (i'd recommend around 0.05) once at 4.3 GHz territory.
