Hello!
First of all I want to apologise for my bad english.
But let's get straight to the point. One year ago I built a pc with 8 gigs (2x4 gigs) of corsair vengeanse 1600hz ddr3 ram and now I want to upgrade. Sadly I can only find same sticks but with higher clock speed on them. My question is, can I use them at the same time with maybe some tweaks with the clock speed or do I have to buy exactly the same ram as I bought a year ago?
My pc specs:
-Intel Core i3 4130
-Can't remember the motherboard model but it's some kind of gigabyte ultra durable series motherboard
-Corsair CX 500w power supply
-Nvidia GTX 660
-Kingston 120GB ssd and 1TB wd hard drive
-Corsair Vengeanse 8GB (2x4GB) 1600hz kit

Solution
You can try, but there are no guarantees when mixing sets of DRAM, they might play, they might not. Best to get a set of 2x8GB and sell the old to recoup some of your expenditure

I did some research and came across a specifications on my cpu. It looks like my cpu only support 2-channel memory. Does that mean that my cpu supports only two sticks of ram? Can someone confirm that to me?
