I have Windows 8.1 Pro installed, When I attempt to use the Windows 10 upgrade app I get a message saying my Nvidia 7900 GS is not compatible. I have since installed a Geforce GT 730 video card. I still get the message. I have tried uninstalling the Windows 10 upgrade app. I have uninstalled all video drivers. I scanned the registry for 7900 GS and found nothing. Where could the Windows 10 upgrade app, the one that downloads as an update be getting the previous video card entry from?

I also tried downloading manually the windows ISO, it wants a KEY, I tried my Windows 8.1 Pro key no luck. Thanks

Solution
If the Windows 10 installation is detecting the wrong video card, that means the driver you have installed is not sufficient enough for an installation of Windows to pick it up. You need to install full driver for your graphics card, not just bits and pieces, the full thing. Also, just my opinion, I would hold off on installing Windows 10, you're really not missing anything.
