Or should I go for 600w or above

550W should be enough but a lot depends on the quality of the power supply.

R9 cards are power hungry.

For a good quality psu, 550w can be ok.

any quality 550w unit will do. but at the prices i see 550w and up quality units going for you should just get the super flower 750w unit.
