Hey fellas, just wondering about a few things for an upcoming build I have in mind.

I'm transferring all my parts into another case, and adding some extension cables. Will I lose all my stuff on my harddrives/ssd's if I do so? Does removing the CPU from its socket have an effect on anything?

No, you will not lose any data on the hard drives. And once you remove the CPU from the socket, before you put it in next time, you have to clean off the thermal paste that's on the CPU and the heat sink, and apply new paste.
