[#weird] keyboard keys [A-L] & [;,'] doesn't work only during startup!!

Hi guys,

I have Lenovo T420 laptop and keyboard keys [A-L] & [;,'] (i.e 4th row except caps lock & Enter key) doesn't work only during startup!!

After around 15-20 mins they all work normal. #weird

I don't think its a virus. I am guessing it could be a driver failure or some whitelist programs having conflicts.

any ideas?

Do you mean it doesn't work before startup or that it doesn't work until ~20min after logging in?

If the latter, try putting the computer to sleep (not turn off) overnight and then turning it on and see if it works. If it doesn't, you have hardware failure likely caused by poor design and thermal strain. You can verify it by playing a game and immediately restarting after the laptop gets hot (if the keyboard works, you need to replace it).
