i have general question. i want to know if my mobo works fine. i have a asus x99a and if i am able to enter the bios settings. does that mean my mobo is fine? i want to know if it is an mobo issue. i am having difficult time installing the windows 10. i am creating a windows 10 usb installation media right now and am going to reinstall or repair it.

Entering into Bios cannot justify that your motherboard is fine , but installation problems are caused by other peripherals like hard drives and Ram corruptions . the motherboard is very unlikely to be the faulty one , especially a X99 . Can you explain more about the real problem you have.

okay i've reinstalled windows 10 and it says it would restart the computer. it just turned off and did not restart. i had to turn it back on. The asus logo run then i get the overlocking failed error and i get the bios set up and i see that there is a "windows boot manager" on the top of a list for boot priority. bios is 1801. i do not know what is wrong. i've provided pictures below of the bios. i've put the settings on default in the bios. i do not know why it is having an over clocking failed error. i did not over clock anything. please help. i'm looking at my bios, it is reading/ detects my ram, ssd, and processor correctly. so i do not think its because of those.

Strangely your memory is shown as 2133Mhz in information while in the DIMM slots it shows 2667MHz . Please confirm what frequency your RAM supports . also if it supports XMP or not. Set it manually to 2133Mhz and then try to boot. You can also try default settings .

These are the kingston hyperx 2666mhz. they have been over clocked to 3200mhz by previous owner before. so it should support xmp. I see the XMP is disabled on the bios settings. i just found out my RAM is faster than my MOBO. the max non overclocked frequency on the mobo is 2133mhz, i need to enable the XMP. i do not know if this will resolve the issue? do you think this is the issue why my computer was not working?

i think it is a motherboard issue. i've tested all my other components and there is nothing wrong with them. A RMA has been requested by Asus and it is going to be shipped to be repaired or replaced. thanks everyone for helping.
