How can I use my dead desktop PC's hard drive as an external hard drive?

Solution

No, there are tons of 3.5" enclosures out there.

Don't say it's "my specification" I don't want to be responsible for whatever you are doing.

I can only point to you what should work. At the end you have to buy what am telling you sounds OK. A drive like you pictured is... STRANGE... most drives one can't see the platters, so I don't know if this is a custom job or something.
Ignoring everything else, all it matters that is has a USB interface, so... the pictured drive has 2 "tongues" sticking out, that tells me it's a SATA drive, so your enclosure or dock should have a USB-to-SATA converters, AND should have its own power supply, not powered by USB only.

Thank you. I know I need a 2.5" enclosure but there aren't certain enclosures for physically bigger hard drives, I can buy any one with your specifications and it will fit?
