First of all specs:
i5 6600k
2X4GB Kingston Fury X 2133 MHz DDR4
MSI Z170 Gaming M5
1TB Seagate SSHD

Hello,
After I successfully updated the BIOS to the latest version (1.6) via USB throught MFLASH (in the BIOS menu), I can only access the BIOS, but it says that no bootable device detected. The drive shows up in the BIOS, the SATA Controller is set to AHCI, I tried switching to a diffrent SATA port as well as clearing the CMOS via the jumpers and removing the CMOS battery, still nothing, can't boot to Windows 10, I can only get to the BIOS.
My queries:
1. Is the M/B OK?
2. All I have to do is reinstall Windows again?

(P.S. Please don't kill me for updating the BIOS)

Thank you in advance.

SSHD* Yes I had installed Windows 10 on the SSHD, flasehd the BIOS, and then used an HDD with Windows 10 installed, which was working on an another PC.
Note: This is a brand new build, all parts are new.

It's set by default to AHCI, I don't think it can be changed to IDE. The drive is recognised in the Disk Management in Windows 10, but it says the drive needs to be initialised.
Should I try to repair the Win copy on the SSHD?
Windows booted fine before the BIOS update.

When I try to initialise it (GPT selected) I get:
The request could not Best perfomed because of Android I/O device error.
What now? Do I have to reinstall Windows or is there still hope that the Win installation could be recovered? I don't have any important files on it, I just want to avoid going throught the whole process if possible.
Also, If I create a recovery USB from the working Windows copy, will I be able to use it for the faulty one?

How I perfomed the updated:
Downloaded the latest version from MSI
Followed the instruction MSI gives (uncompress the .zip file to the USB, restat to BIOS, use MFLASH to update it)
After the BIOS update "finished successfully with the 1st try", Windows won't boot and all I get is that no bootable media detected (yey).

What could be happening in the disk?

I guess I'll format the disk with GParted and reinstall Windows.

A friend of mine and I were up half the night with EXACTLY the same problem with his mobo. After the recommended bios update (recommended my MSI's LiveUpdate 6 software) the Windows Boot Manager Option was missing from the boot devices menus in BIOS. After reinstalling the OS, the problem was solved--only temporarily, however.

The same problem happened again after applying MSI's "Game Booster" or OC Genie automatic-overclocking in bios. Again, the Windows Boot Manager option was missing from the boot option menus.

There is definitely a problem with this BIOS in the way it applies changes. Either way, the fix, at least for us, was a clean re-install of the OS.
