Need help with new cpu!!!

Hello, In want to buy a new cpu its SR0T8 - Intel Core i5 3470 3.2GHz Quad Core Socket LGA 1155 Processor CPU and I want to know if it will fit on my motherboard, I have a dell OFM586 A00 motherboard I currently have a inter core quad 2.33 ghz cpu but want to upgrade. I also have 350 watt power supply? Will It work?

No it will not work. The motherboard you have (this one I think: http://www.ascendtech.us/dell-inspiron-530-530s-fm586-motherboard_i_mbdel7750fm586.aspx ) is based on the LGA775 socket and the Intel Core i5 3470 Quad Core is based on the LGA 1155 socket. You should look at upgrading your motherboard also to an LGA 1155 socket motherboard if you want that CPU. Also, all modern CPUs will not work with that motherboard so I would upgrade if I were you.

What kind of motherboard would you recommend? I have 6gb ram, 2.33ghz quad core and radeon hd 4600 I'm using a dell inspirion 530 tower.
