I already have Directx11 but some games and software have an option to install DirectX 9 by force which I can't stop. Is there any harm if I install game or software along with DX9 ? i'm using windows 8.1

From what I've seen... some older games will tell you DirectX needs to be installed and when it runs... it usually scans what's on your system and adds or updates anything that's missing. I've never encountered any problems.
