Not able to see the post screen on custom build

Hi,

I just build my custom pc with the following:
FX 8350
GTX 950
MSI 970 motherboard
550 watt psu
16 GB ram
Dvd Drive
Hard Drive

But when I turn on the desktop, I do not see anything on the screen. all the fans and stuff seems to be running.

I used HDMI to HDMI cable.

I wonder when we boot 1st time, does the HDMI to HDMI works on the GTX 950 video card? or do I have to use DVI to VGA converter for initial boot.

It might be a defective GPU or Mobo, do you have any other GPUs?

Yes I have another video card on my PC, maybe try that tomorrow. Weird thing is there is no beep sound at all.

So, I did some test on the Graphic Card, Memory. They both works in the other machine. But not on this motherboard. I have got the other graphic card from other machine and tested on this motherboard too it does not work. Does that conclude it is the motherboard that is bad?
