Games keep crashing after new 980Ti Installed.

Hello,

I recently bought an EVGA GTX 980Ti SC+ for 144Hz G-Sync gaming. Along side that, I bought a new WD Blue 1TB since my old HDD was dying and a Cooler Master V750 Semi-Modular.

Every since the installation of the graphics card, my games have been crashing at random times and the GPU seems to be resetting when it is done crashing. It will happen in Rust, a very hard to run game at max settings, with the GPU maxed out. However, it will also happen when I'm playing easy to run games like TF2 or CS:GO.

I already ran DDU and wiped the drivers from my other GPU. I haven't overclocked the GPU either. I'm unsure what is causing these crashes, it didn't happen with my old GTX 760. Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

On the basis that you are having multiple instances of crashing. Reinstalling Windows sounds like it might be the best idea to rule out any software issues. At least then you'll know that there are no secondary factors if it is still happening afterwards...you can focus on drivers then.

I did blue screen before I ran DDU, but after the wipe, it doesn't blue screen anymore.

I usually get the ___.exe has stopped working error.

In TF2, the game just stops and I have to alt+escape out to close the game since it's still running, but in this "frozen" state.

Rust will just randomly give me the regular crash message, along with the game closing.

Just as a tester....roll back your drivers to a few earlier versions. See if the issue still exists. I've been having more crashes than Windows Millennium.

It seems to me like with each GPU driver update from both AMD and Nvidia.....there are a different set of problems with different games/setups. It's starting to become a trend in all honesty..... mixed with W10 backend bugs.

I'm actually having this problem with arma 2 OA. Does this happen to all of your games or just a select few?In my experience squad works fine but Arma crashes at random times.

Team Fortress 2 keeps crashing the same way I specified- audio glitches out and the graphics card resets. I can tell it resets because I have the LED turned off, and when it resets, it flashes on for a second.

War Thunder started to crash, seemingly at random as well. Would really like a solution to this...

Team Fortress 2 often gives me hl2.exe has stopped working. A new crash developed, the game just closes out and puts me on the desktop without warning. Considering re-installing Windows...
