Can anyone tell me about riser cards?

So my Loan Li x900 only has room for a 10.5 inch card...maybe. I saw a mnpctech build recently that used a riser to place the gpu vertically with the bottom plate facing the window. Can anyone tell me more about them or how you get the card to stay in a position like that or point me to a good to work with a big 980ti?

Riser cards / cables are hit or miss. All you need is the correct length. The case itself supports installing the card in the fashion that you are talking about (unless mnpctech modded the case).

If you search for Bitcoin mining cases / setups, youl find a lot of people using these PCIe cables to move the GPUs.
