Hi guys
This is my first post on this forum. So thank you advance for your input!

I recently purchased a HP prebuilt desktop on clearance. The specs are as follow:

A10-7800 with R7 series integrates graphics. 8gb ram. And 1TB hard drive.

I am not a gamer. It's used as a home media type of desktop for downloading media, YouTube surfing (720p or 1080p) and playing movies and surfing nets...etc.

so usually I am not picky with graphics cards...in fact I have never had one. But this prebuilt desktop does not come with a HDMI output and I need HDMI to plug into my TV so I plan to buy a graphic card that has a HDMI output.

My main concern is what video card to go with ? From my research the word crossfire and bottle neck keep popping up but I have no idea what it means. I was suggest not to go with a video card that is too cheap as the crappy performance will screw with the R7 series integrated graphic. But an expensive video card will not function as well due to similar reason...

So my question is : what is the cheapest option video card I can get that will not hinder much of this pre built desktop?

Thank you in advance !

AFAIK the built in graphics core of that A10 should handle your needs so first off I'd try an adaptor cable like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812576006
If the adaptor doesn't work something like this will: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127851&ignorebbr=1 Bear in mind, this is a fanless card, it'll need some airflow from the case fans to stay cool!
If you don't like the fanless design: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133556&ignorebbr=1

HI,
Do you have a specific brand you would recommend for the GT 730? 1GB or 2GB? Fan or no fan? I have 300W on my PSU. Thanks!

Hi,
The cable solution wouldn't work with my current set up as my computer is hooked up to my comp monitor and my TV. so I need the DVI for my monitor and the HDMI for the TV.
What is the difference between GT 720 and GT 730? Thanks!

Practically none for your planned applications. Heck, you can probably just use a GT 710 and you'd be just fine.

^ Agreed, although I'd probably go for a 1Gb GTX720 (no need for more memory), the extra power will come in handy for high res video or even Blu-ray decode.
If the system case has a standard ATX layout with one front fan for intake and a second rear fan for exhaust you'll be OK with one of the fanless designs, if not you'll have to put up with the inevitable whine of the small fan usually used on such cards.
