Hello,
I have installed 6GB RAM in two slots ie. 4GB n 2GB in my DELL XPS L502X i5 2450M, now I want to replace this 6GB with 2x8GB = 16GB of RAM.
Can it be possible or if not then how max I can go and which RAM will be best for up gradation??

My Configs:
Board: Intel HM67
Processor: Intel Core i5 2450M 2.50GHz
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 Pro 256g
RAM (DDR3): 2gb (Micron Tec. | 1.50v | 666MHz) + 4gb (Kingston | 1.50v | 666MHz)
OS: Windows 10 build 11102.rs1 x64

Please, guide me how much and which RAM I can go far so that I can get max RAM.

I am a developer and have to run enough heavy programs and I need to upgrade to max RAM.
And this laptop can support max of 16gb as per Intel process guide..

I get it that the processor can support upto 16GB but the motherboard of this laptop can't. It's not the processor that only matters other components aswell. I have a motherboard that supports upto 32Gb ram but the processor is just supporting 8Gb. So yes 8Gb max and when u run taxing programs why don't you switch to pc ?
