I'll keep this brief, I've got a new PC, and the CPU Cooler is really big, it hangs over the first RAM slot.
Am I able to have 3 RAM sticks installed in slots 2, 3 and 4?
If not, what can I do?

Solution
Will crucial ballistix fit under your CPU cooler?

If you cannot find RAM that fits under the CPU cooler your options are:

1. Get a new motherboard that has RAM in better location in relation to CPU cooler.
2. Run only 2/3 sticks of RAM
3. Replace the CPU cooler with a smaller option.
Hello... Sometimes you can rotate a cooler, sometimes not... Typically the heat pipes are the offenders to extra large heatsinked ram sticks... there are smaller Cooler and RAM options if you want to RMA.
Yes some models of MB's will let you run 3 sticks in flex/single channel memory mode... You don't have to fill slot#1, your MB Manual/PDF will explain further.

It should work but if it is dual channel memory you won't get the benefit. Another solution would be to get low profile RAM but not sure if this is an option as I don;t know how much space you have under the CPU cooler and RAM slot. If you have room the crucial ballistix RAM is low profile and may fit.
