Hello! What is the best cpu-cooler for the 6700K? I know that the noctua nh d15 is one of the best cpu coolers, but does it fit on the 6700K? (socket LGA1151) plz help :)

Solution
Skylake cpu's don't run incredibly hot to begin with. As far as liquid coolers like aio's being quieter, I think that's a myth. One more thing that aio's got credit for that custom cooling loops accomplished. Cooler tests seem to suggest just the opposite, big air is quieter.

At full speed an h100i gtx is almost as atrocious as the intel stock cooler...

Its not actually a myth, liquid coolers have proven to be much much more quieter than air coolers, as well as being much more efficient. Also sorry if that link didn't look legit, i shortened it, and it was a newegg link.

Just pointing out that the sound tests show something different. Larger aio's can be more efficient by a few degrees, they're not custom loops though. If aio's were quieter they would show lower dba in the noise tests. The h100i gtx being the latest version of the pretty popular h100i dual fan aio runs louder than over 15 air coolers at idle and ranks near the bottom at full power. 30db louder at full speed than a noctua nh-d15.

It would likely depend on the fan curve, the aio's shouldn't have to run full out. At least I wouldn't think so, my larger air cooler doesn't even spin up with an oc'd i5 under p95 unless I turn off all my case fans.
