Hi everyone,
I recently bought a pair of hd700s with a 3.5mm adapter for my sounds card. Now even when I'm not using them the computer will restart at completely random times like not even when it's at peak performance. This has only started since I bought the headphones. So is this the computer running out of power? Since I also bought several other peripherals and storage.
Or is this simply the adapter shorting out with the sound card or something else ? Because I have no idea what's going on as it gives out no error codes.

Example situation: playing battlefield 4 last night just running around after the levolution happened on hainan resort, then a minute after that my computer outright turned off and on again.

System parts:
I7 4790k overclocked 4.6ghz temp under load 43 degrease
Maximus vii formula
Gtx 960 strix (over clocked) running about 50 degrees peak
Xonar Phoebus
Crucial 250gb m.2 ssd
840 Evo 120gb
850 Evo 250gb
H100i
Custom water cooled vrm (small pump) probably not relevant
4 be quiet silent wings 2
1 nzxt fan
RM750 gold power supply

Peripherals: k70 rgb
Razer ouroboros
Razed seiren
Rs175
Hd700
iPhone charger
Blu Ray drive (usb)

Please help of you can !!!!
Thank you in advance !!

Solution
The symptoms you describe make me believe your issue is power related. It may be the motherboard's VRM (what radiator are you using for that?) getting hot or it could be the PSU. I will suggest looking over the motherboard for any burnt areas or leaky/swollen capacitors

yeah that may be the case, since it only started since I first plugged in the headphones, I'm watching YouTube and it hasn't done it for hours so I must be a power problem meaning it can't use the headphones under load.
