Hmm.... did you buy the two sticks each separately or as a single kit together?

If you bought them as a kit, send them back in and get a new kit. I really don't know after this point.

Yes of course! I have the exact same motherboard and use a dual-channel (2x4) 8GB kit from G.Skill. And it works great! And no, there's no such thing as a "install" to enable this, the motherboard already knows to accept it. And FYI, your motherboard can also support up to 32GB, just if you're interested.

Hope this helps, and have fun.

So, when you install your RAM into the motherboard, there should be 4 total slots. You need to take the two sticks and then put one stick in the slot closest to the CPU, then skip a slot, then put the other stick into the 3rd slot. Something like this:

RAM= ||| Empty DIMM Slot= OO

||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
<---CPU ||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO
||| OO ||| OO

And as for your computer giving you that message, make sure you have the RAM in these positions, then check back with me.
