I recently bought a refurbished Corsair CX750M psu on Newegg.com and it does not turn on at all (fan does not spin, no noise what so ever, yes it was plugged in to the mobo.) . I've tried using different power cords and opened it up to check if anything broke during shipping.(it did not) It is currently past the 30 day warranty and I would like to know what could be wrong with it or if I should get a brand new one.

Solution
Newegg is not going to do anything past the 30 day period it would cost them money, but Corsair does give a 90 day warranty on refurbished item's. It will take a while to get one from them. I would probably try that or just chalk it up for a learning experience and buy a better power supply and sell the replacement when you receive one.
(try the paperclip test I listed above first)
Contact Newegg for a exchange.
Explain that the 30 days was consumed by testing to verify that the psu was dead.
You might want to confirm that a known good psu works.

Failing that, contact Corsair for a RMA.
They are very good about the process.

Paper clip test is worthless except to confirm a doa psu if it fails.

Call newegg If you are a good customer, they will take care of you.
It can't hurt. at least you will know where you need to go.
Corsair may require you to test with a good psu before they will issue a RMA.

Perhaps it would be best if you bought a replacement like Seasonic.
Assuming it works, Send the psu to corsair for a rma.
Just sell the returned unit unopened on ebay to recoup the cost.
Or, keep it as a spare.
