Let me just start this by saying. I don't KNOW how my SSD ended up in a sink, but it did. So yes, it was submerged in water. OBVIOUSLY I'd like to be able to use it considering I paid $100 for it.

Just wondering if there's anything I can do to fix it, or if it's even safe.

Solution
You are likely ok.

Take the cover off to expose the innards.
Use a hair dryer on low heat to get rid of any moisture.
A Samsung 850 evo , for example has an operating temperature range of 0-70c.
70c. is 158f.

Hey man. Something very similar happened to me (package got delivered for my SSD, mailman left it outside, it rained heavily last night, RIP)

What ever happened to your SSD? Did you leave it to dry? Did it work?

Used it in a PC I built for someone.
