Problem
I plugged in an Ethernet cable from my router (http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/wifi-routers/R7000.aspx) to my motherboard (https://www.msi.com/product/motherboard/Z97I-GAMING-AC.html#hero-overview) and it wont recognize it, the WiFi still works but the activity lights over the Ethernet port aren't even turning on. It works for my laptop over a USB-Ethernet adapter.
What I've tried
I've tried reinstalling the most recent drivers and using multiple ethernet cables and all the ports on my router (including the ones confirmed to be working by my laptop) i even tried disassembling my PC and cleaning it with canned air but it still wont detect anything.
Any help is really appreciated WiFi seems to be so temperamental and its getting to be a nuissance.
