I had a Dell desktop PC that I had used for 10+ years perfectly.
Now my computer was built in 2013 and it was my first build. The PSU is Antec Neo Eco 400c (I guess it's 400w right?). Running with intel i5 CPU and NO DISPLAY CARD. I think it should be very sufficient for my need.
I don't normally shut down my PC, you can consider it running for 7/24/365. I might shut down once or twice every year.
It sometimes (not very often, maybe once every few months). The whole computer shuts down by itself suddenly or appears a blue screen.
My question is
1, Is it likely to be PSU failure? If it is, why it doesn't simply fail at all? Is it risky to fire or burn to other components if I want to keep using it now?
2. I had done research before I bought this Antec PSU. And I bought it from an authentic re-seller that could be trusted, in other words it's unlikely anything rip-off or second-hand. When my unknown PSU on my old Dell PC worked almost perfectly for 10 years. Why this Antec appears to be quite problematic in less than 3 years???
3. When I first built my PC in 2013 with this PSU, I had gone through a lot of difficulties and troubleshooting because I was new to PC build. Was it because I did something wrong to the PSU to make it malfunction? Pretty sure it was not dropped or spilled with any liquid/water.
4. Is a Dell computer or desktop of other brands (instead of DIY) often better in terms of stability than a DIY computer? Is it because their technicians/workers are more skilled and sophisticated?
