Would this be a good gaming desktop build?

Solution
Yes, that is a solid build. IF you want to lower the price, you can switch the RAM to 8GB's. And the 750W is more than enough for the 960, but i guess it will give you a nice room for upgrade. Also you can the R9 380 which is a bit more powerful and it also has 4GB's of VRAM. (nice for games like GTA V and Fallout as you mentioned). Here's a good one: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-100384nt4goc2l And yeah you can play those games at High settings my friend. :)

Solution
Very good build, no problem running those games at all. You can also do a Skylake build with a little bigger graphics card for just a little more.
