Budget Range:
--$500 or less

System Usage from Most to Least Important:
--Gaming, lots of minecraft

Are you buying a monitor:
--Have one

Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM) **Include Power Supply Make & Model If Re-using**)
--Don't know how to find my power supply? I have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ that I want to upgrade, which i believe means I need a new motherboard as well (as far as i can tell I have an ASUStek Narra 2 from pheonix technologies, if you need more details i just need to know what I'm looking for...) I also wanted to replace the 75gb HDD with a larger one (even if it wipes all my memory)

--note: I currently have two 2gb ram cards and two 1gb ram cards installed for a total of 6 gb ram, new motherboard would need to have room or cost of new ram cards would have to be factored in.

Do you need to buy OS: no

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any

Location: Danville, CA

Parts Preferences: none

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 I think, don't know where to find

Additional Comments: Want to run heavily modded Minecraft at high fps. Tried searching the web for a couple of hours and got completely lost.. If you need any more information about my pc specifics just ask (and if possible, tell me how to find that information...)

Thank you so much,

If you have a pre-built computer can you let us know the manufacturer and model. Since this is an HP mobo I am guessing that it is a pre-built.

Your motherboard looks to be a micro-ATX so that is the form factor you want. The memory appears to be DDR2, this will likely have to be replaced as mobos that use DDR2 are very hard to find now.

Once you supply the model it will be much easier to figure out what can be salvage and what will have to be replaced. I have a strange feeling that most of your component are likely outdated and at the end of their life. Will see what we can do.
